Aokua is a large black dragon with yellow spikes running down his back.
Background[]
Aokua is an UnderWorld Commander and has a past with the Danian Tribe. Long ago, he led an UnderWorld raid on Mount Pillar, with Aokua consuming some of the Danian Mandiblors he was fighting. He learned that Danians are quite the delicacy and will often volunteer on missions that involve Danians. In the Danian Nursery, a story is told that Aokua will carry off any misbehaving hatch-lings and eat them in his nest, installing discipline in Mandiblors from an early age.
Personality and Behavior:[]
Aokua is the underworlds first option when attacking the Danians. He has stated that he is "always hungry". He will take any human who enters his lair on a ride which can be frighting but he seems to have no real intention of hurting anyone. He seems to have a great sense of humor (although for those not in on the joke it can come across as frighting). He seems friendly towards humans as he allowed Kaz and Sarah to scan him.

Strategies[]
Aokua's tremendous Disciplines are undermined by his relatively low Energy and Exhaust, causing him to quickly run out of steam in combat. As such, Stone Mail is a natural fit for him, removing both the negative ability and patching up his Energy at the expense of becoming unable to move. This, however, does make Aokua very weak to anti-Battlegear cards like Surprising Riffs and Discord of Disarming.
As such, Aokua works best in a Discipline-based mixed deck, which can use options like Garv to protect Stone Mail and Tune of Xerium to recover it.
Note, however, that he does face competition from Anarkiar in this role.
