Blügon - Overworld

006-Blugon

Background:

Bodal - Overworld

Appearance:

Bodal is a short, green Creature with a large skull – giving room to his rather large brain. Bodal is always well dressed because it is impossible to know when Maxxor or one of the other OverWorlders might need his assistance.

Background:

Bodal is one of the most unusual characters in Kiru City ... and that’s saying a lot! He works in a crucial, non-combat position. He is in charge of the Kiru City Arsenal, the largest Battlegear depot in the entire OverWorld. In Bodal’s own words, he is “an extremely important, though extremely underappreciated servant of the OverWorld leader, Maxxor.” It may seem that Bodal and his job are very boring, but that’s only because they are. Bodal’s most effective weapon? His personality! Special Abilities:

If Bodal has to battle, he prefers not to go it alone, as he has little battlefield experience. However, he can be an effective team player. His greatest strengths are his knowledge of Mugic and his Wisdom. Card flavor text:

Crawsectus - Overworld

008-Crawsectus

Appearance:

Crawsectus is a large, exoskeletal beast. In combat he scuttles across the battlefield on his six legs, clasping his great claws. His red body makes it hard for him to hide, but it makes no difference because hiding is a strategy rarely used by Crawsectus.

Background:

Though he’s been known to ply the raging rivers and swift-running streams of the vast OverWorld Riverlands, Crawsectus is most frequently found lurking in the murky backwaters of the dreary, dismal Gloomuck Swamp. That’s because the Swamp is where this crotchety Creature can keep a lookout for errant OverWorld enemies trying to trespass into OverWorld territory. When Crawsectus spies an invader, it usually ends in disaster for the invader. Special Abilities:

Being one of the OverWorld Elementalists, Crawsectus utilizes both Earth and Water Attacks, and his Earth Attacks are particularly devastating. Card flavor text:

Donmar - Overworld

Background:

Donmar is the devoted Caretaker of the Runic Grove. The Grove earned its name from the many small runes etched into its trees and their massive roots. The runes fascinate Donmar, and he is determined to discover why they appear. He knows they are created by the use of Mugic, and some believe he already has secret knowledge of their meaning. In any case, his obsession with the Runic Grove has caused a startling effect: he seems to be becoming part of the Grove himself, in both mind and body.

Special Abilities:

Though not considered one of the strongest OverWorld Muges, Donmar is a skilled Mugic user. In addition to the use of generic and OverWorld Mugic, Donmar has somehow learned to channel raw Mugical energy, in order to effect amazing healing. Card flavor text:

Background:

Dractyl is the terrifying, flying Creature who makes his home in a nasty, giant nest somewhere deep in the heart of the Forest of Life. He spends most of his time soaring high above the Forest, scouting for intruders from opposing Tribes. Despite his disagreeable personality, he also serves as a high-speed messenger for Maxxor. On rare occasions, Dractyl’s Speed and ability to fly have earned him the task of traveling to the UnderWorld as a spy. Instead of seeing this assignment as a confirmation of his power and prestige, Dractyl would rather hang back at his nest and not risk his tail.

Special Abilities:

Appearance:

But even for those who are welcome, The Hive is a dangerous place to linger.

Appearance:

Rellim is a short, stocky Creature who lives in the Riverlands’ watermill. His skin is purple and his large head constitutes most of his upper body. His powerful arms and large, ferocious mouth give him a fierce appearance.

Background:

In the Riverlands, there’s an old watermill which supplies most of the OverWorld with ground grain. The proprietor of the mill is a rough-hewn creature called Rellim. Though tending the mill takes up most of Rellim’s time, his strategic Location means he’s frequently pressed into service in defense of his homestead. He’s a formidable OverWorld fighter who relishes a good battle, though Rellim sees combat as something like a hobby.

Special Abilities:

Though he’s not short on Courage, Rellim becomes even bolder when he doesn’t have to go into battle alone. He gets added strength from his battle team. He usually prefers to use the Water Element Attacks and what little Mugic he has is put to good use.

Background:

Slurhk is a venomous OverWorld Guardian who lurks beneath the shifting sands of the Mipedian desert, watching and waiting. He has intimate, first-hand knowledge of the Mipedians, who mostly resent his presence in their desert homeland. Slurhk serves the OverWorlders by patrolling the desert, keeping tabs on Mipedians who wander beyond their traditional habitat. Ultimately, Slurhk hopes to reclaim the Mipedian desert for the OverWorld.

Velreth - Overworld

031-Velreth

Appearance:

Velreth is recognized by his great suit of armor and the large horns protruding from his head. His skin is thick and leathery and it offers a good natural defense, but one can never have too much protection – hence the armor.

Background:

In the OverWorld, Velreth is known as a solid, dependable Warrior. Most of the time, he travels the far reaches of Perim, keeping a watchful eye out for tribal enemy intruders. Keeping the OverWorld safe is a job Velreth doesn’t take lightly. Those who have faced Velreth in combat have all told of his fierce temper and his fearlessness in confronting anyone or anything that gets in his way.

Special Abilities:

Velreth doesn’t rely much on advanced, special Attacks. He’s more of a “quantity, not quality” kind of guy. In most battles, Velreth’s Speed gives him an edge, and his ability to use a little Mugic has saved him more than once.

Vidav - Overworld

032-Vidav Banner

Appearance:

Most of the time, Vidav wears a long, blue robe. Underneath the robe, he is covered in snow-white fur with black stripes, but few ever see more of Vidav than his grave, yet friendly face.

Background:

It’s Vidav’s personal quest to bring peace and harmony to Perim once more. He has tried to get the leaders of Perim to negotiate a peace treaty, but his efforts have failed. Even though he is against war, Vidav sometimes finds it necessary to assist his fellow OverWorlders in keeping their homeland safe. By serving as a Strategist to Maxxor, Vidav focuses on keeping his Tribe members safe from harm, not on harming his opponents.

Special Abilities:

In the spirit of peace, Vidav doesn’t specialize in any Attack form. In keeping with his non-violent nature, Vidav has learned the ability to heal any wounded Creature by using Mugical Energy.

Card flavor text:

The treaty of Vidav could have brought peace to the warring tribes of Perim ... if only its leaders had been willing to accept it.

Xaerv - Overworld

033-Xaerv

Appearance:

Background:

Xaerv is one of the truly great Elementalists. He’s made his home in the Storm Tunnel, which keeps him in constant contact with his favorite Element. Those who’ve faced Xaerv in a Storm Tunnel battle know that his powers are devastating there. That’s why many OverWorlders try to lure intruders into the Storm Tunnel. They like to see Xaerv blow ‘em away! Special Abilities:

Among the OverWorlders, Xaerv is legendary for his near-mastery of the Element of Air. Outside of the Mipedian Desert, mastery of this Element is rather rare. That’s why Xaerv’s abilities are not simply dangerous. They also give him the added Element of surprise! Card flavor text:

Yokkis - Overworld

034-Yokkis

Appearance:

Lets just say that there is nothing in all of Perim that looks like Yokkis - well, except Yokkis of course.

Background:

Yokkis is the most outrageous, messed up, wacked-out OverWorlder ever. The uppermost thing in Yokkis’ “mind” is his own amusement. He’s not without skills, but he mostly puts them to work playing goofy, gross-out gags on unsuspecting Tribemates. However, Yokkis isn’t a traitor. He’s just a nut case. Though his allegiance to his fellow OverWorlders is real, that doesn’t mean Yokkis spares them when looking for someone to prank. Special Abilities:

Despite his seemingly total lack of self-discipline, Yokkis is actually a proficient Mugic user. In addition to his Mugical skills, Yokkis has taken the phrase “strength in numbers” to unheard of extremes. Card flavor text:

Appearance:

Zalic is a strange, blue Creature whose origin is largely unknown. His body is strong and his large, white eyes give him a mysterious aura.

Background:

As he never needs to sleep, Zalic has been given one of the most important security jobs in the OverWorld. He’s been entrusted by Maxxor to be the Guardian of the Passage to the Underworld. Zalic is ever vigilant, and the Passage to the UnderWorld has been kept safe on his watch … so far. As Zalic is always guarding the Passage, his involvement with the rest of the OverWorld is minimal. So his friend Intress visits him and keeps him up to date on the OverWorld outside The Passage and the status of the search for the Cothica. Special Abilities:

As the guardian of the Passage, Zalic believes that the most efficient defense is a good offense. Even when attacked, his ability to heal his own injuries allows him to keep most UnderWorld intruders at bay – at least until reinforcements can arrive. Card flavor text:
