[1]The mighty Chaor is awesome to behold. His horned head, powerful fire-red body and lashing tail give him a frightening appearance. The only thing more dark and sinister than his looks is his voice, which is as deep as the UnderWorld itself.


Background :


Chaor reigns supreme from his command headquarters in UnderWorld City, where he holds the entire UnderWorld in an iron grip. Feared by friend and foe alike, he rules with a fiery combination of Wisdom, cunning and intimidation. Chaor’s dream is to conquer Kiru City, overthrow Maxxor and dominate all the Tribes of Perim. The traitorous UnderWorlder Lord van Bloot covets Chaor’s powerful position and constantly conspires to undermine Chaor’s authority. So far he’s been unsuccessful, but a small band of craven co-conspirators - including Skithia and Krekk - are also determined to destroy Chaor.


Special Abilities:


Chaor is a master of Mugic and Attacks and, as a result, he’s undoubtedly one of the fiercest Warriors in Perim. He‘s also able to counteract the Mugic of the OverWorld, which can be the deciding factor in clashes with Maxxor.

[2]Barath Beyond is one of the most unusual-looking Creatures in the UnderWorld. With his inorganic, seemingly robotic body, Barath Beyond appears to be a totally different species from the rest of Perim’s Creatures. Some believe he was forged from discarded pieces of Battlegear and that Barath Beyond can tap into the memories of long forgotten battles directly through his bizarre body.


Background :


Whether Barath Beyond was born or manufactured is a question that may remain unanswered for ages. What’s not in doubt is the fact that Barath Beyond is always a formidable opponent in battle. Through years of experience he has mastered the use of Mugic, Elemental strengths and many personal skills. Though Barath Beyond is undoubtedly a mighty UnderWorld Warrior, his one weakness is a major one: Recklessness sometimes clouds his judgment and leads to his defeat.

[3]Majar is a mighty, massive Creature hewn from the solid stone of the UnderWorld. On the shoulders of Majar sits a small, green being that goes by the name of Borth.

Background :


Borth-Majar is a rare example of teamwork in the UnderWorld. These two Creatures discovered that they complemented each other perfectly and grew to form a strong alliance, despite their clashing personalities. Majar is a powerful brute and Borth is a masterful thinker. Together, they maintain a unique balance: a synergy of powers, with Borth planning and Majar executing.

Special Abilities:


To most opponents, Borth-Majar is immensely intimidating, a fact Borth-Majar uses to great advantage. In battle, Borth’s keen wit and Majar’s brute strength combine to form a force that often results in victory.

Appearance :


[4]Dardemus is a large, green brute. He wears a leather harness and brandishes two fearsome multi-tongued whips. His unforgiving appearance intimidates even the bravest of opponents.


Background :


Dardemus acts as warden of the prison located deep in the bowels of the UnderWorld in a forbidding place aptly named “The Pits.”Ending up in his charge is a fate that all Creatures of Perim dread. Ruthless by nature, Dardemus has no tolerance for prisoners unwilling to submit to his craven will. Due to his background of loyal service as the UnderWorld’s “Prince of Punishment,” he’s a trusted (though not very highly regarded) ally of Chaor.


Special Abilities:


Besides bullying, terrorizing and torturing, Dardemus is especially skilled with Fire Attacks and he enjoys using them on his victims frequently.

[5]Drakness looks very much like the shadow of another being and has the ability to change his shadowy form. One never knows exactly what Drakness looks like – only that he might lurk in any shadow or shade you pass.

Background :


Drakness is one of the UnderWorld Ethereals: “bodiless” beings said to have sprung from the little-understood “essences” that waft through the strange, shadowy regions of the UnderWorld. These “essences” may be the invisible echoes of evil that weave and waft through the stagnant air of the UnderWorld. Or … not! Drakness is mainly a mystery whose sole interest seems to be the discovery of the Cothica.

Special Abilities:


Those who’ve faced him in battle claim that Drakness has the unusual ability to amplify the effect of some destructive Mugic. When Drakness attacks, it’s most frequently with Fire Attacks. (He may be an Ethereal, but he’s also an UnderWorlder!)

[6]Geltod is a strange Creature that seems to be made of Water and Mugical energy. His body is a large, gelatinous blob crowned by a vicious-looking face


Background:


Some believe that Geltod originated in Everrain, generated in its waters by a strange Mugical “surge.” In any case, he is an unusual Muge. A skilled user of UnderWorld Mugic, he can also consume these songs and use their Mugical residue to harm his opponents directly. Because of this ability, Geltod is disliked by UnderWorlders and others alike,although there are those who clearly see the potential in Geltod’s powers.


Special Abilities:


Geltod has the ability to corrupt and consume the Mugical tunes of the UnderWorld in order to use the residual Mugical energy to harm those who oppose him. This is a strange but powerful ability for a Muge.

Appearance:


[7]Ghuul appears to be exactly what he is – a Mugically enhanced war-beetle. He still retains his insect features, even though he has been enlarged by powerful Mugic.


Background:


Ghuul is the semi-successful result of an attempt to infuse a simple, beetle-like warrior with powerful Mugic. The OverWorld recluse Mommark -- who conducts countless experiments on Creatures -- created Ghuul in Castle Mommark. When Mommark saw the way Ghuul turned out, he released his strange experiment into the wild to fend for himself. Furious at Mommark, Ghuul found his way into the UnderWorld and has become a Taskmaster in Gothos Tower.


Special Abilities:


In battle, Ghuul has a great strategic advantage. He has the ability to bypass enemy combatants and move quickly on the battlefield. This allows him to outflank and help overwhelm opposing forces.

Grook is a short and stout Creature, whose power is intimidating to behold. His skin is blue and powerful limbs protrude from his round torso.

Background:


Grook is a Creature of extremes. He’s among the mightiest in all of Perim, yet he lacks Wisdom. (Okay, let’s face it. He’s stupid.) This hulking brute seems to be dimly aware that he has to choose his battles carefully, though, which allows him to utilize his great Power before he’s outsmarted. He serves the UnderWorld loyally as a Taskmaster and is a powerful asset in the UnderWorld armies, especially when he’s given strong, clear, and simple guidance.

Special Abilities:


When fighting Grook, opponents will find his great strength intimidating. Attacks made by Grook are not subtle. He usually uses some kind of straightforward Fire Attack.

H'earring -UnderWorld

Appearance :


H’earring is a small UnderWorld Creature, famous for his huge ears. His green skin gives him a great advantage when hiding and spying in many of the lush, green places in the OverWorld.


Background :


Due to his exceptional aural ability, H’earring has been pressed into service as a spy, listening in on unsuspecting enemies of the UnderWorld from afar. Though he’s not very interested in Perim’s power struggles, he dares not defy Chaor or his commands - at least not to his face. H’earring’s top priority is enjoying himself and staying on the big boss’ good side. H’earring’s perverse personal tastes are revolting, even to his fellow UnderWorlders. He devours Dractyl scales, pond scum and other awful inedibles ... often in exchange for disclosing sensitive secrets.


Special Abilities:


H’earring has the Mugical ability to manipulate the strategy of any army. He is able to change the planned Locations of future engagements – confusing opponents or aiding allied strategists.

Perhaps the most effective of the UnderWorld spies, H’earring mainly puts his supersonic skills to work for himself.

Although Hammerdoom Chantcaller only stands four feet tall, he still packs quite a punch. He always wears his trademark high-collar, iron-reinforced robe and carries the Doomhammer – from which his name derives -- strapped to his back.

Background:


Hammerdoom Chantcaller is a legendary Warrior among the UnderWorld Tribe … and among the Danians He wages a relentless war against the Danians, part of his personal crusade to rid the UnderWorld of the Danian threat one by one. He often jokes that the Danians will check under their nest before going to sleep, claiming he is the subject of the Danian bedtime story “the Scout who cried Hammerdoom.” Even for the most confident of Warriors, however, it is a mistake to underestimate the call of the Hive …

Hammerdoom Chantcaller has honed his skills to fight Danians, but it seems that his frequent contact with the Hive is starting to get under his skin.

Appearance:


A sleek and muscular Creature, Illazar often dresses in a purple loincloth and ornamented, piece-mail armor. Blue markings adorn his orange skin while his sharp teeth and four horns give him an ominous appearance.

Background:


Many know Illazar for his ability to draw Mugical energy from his opponents whenever one of this UnderWorld Muge’s allies is defeated. Some say that Illazar combines the Mugical energy possessed by the defeated Creature with the spirits of defeat themselves in order to perform this rare feat. Illazar has never revealed his secret. He allies himself with a group of UnderWorlders living near the Corruptors Gate. Illazar himself makes his home in the mist-shrouded city just beyond the gate.

Special Abilities:


Whenever Illazar or one of his allies is defeated while still possessing Mugical energy, Illazar can reduce the Mugical potential of his opponents. This ability has made Illazar a feared combatant among the Muges of the other Tribes.

Kamangareth looks like a sinister, sinuous centipede with a body covered in sturdy, scaly armor. She has a humanoid torso and head, while several long, sharp spikes extend from her shoulders.

Background:


In the UnderWorld, Kamangareth has rightfully earned a fearsome reputation for her ruthless nature and devastating power. Her wrath is usually directed at the Danians. Living near Mount Pillar, she stands ready to strike at her enemies any time. Kamangareth has gained an intimate knowledge of the Danians and knows how to disrupt the power of the Hive, though doing so comes at great personal cost.

Special Abilities:


Kamangareth has learned to disrupt the unity of the Hive, undermining its powerful positive effect on the Danians. But for Kamangareth, this always ends up being a painful experience.

Appearance :


Kerric is one of the many small Creatures that dwell in the caverns of the UnderWorld. His wings and small size give him great Speed and mobility.

Background :


Kerric is one of the UnderWorld’s leading Scouts. He patrols the Cordac Falls Plungepool, a perilous passage that connects the OverWorld and the UnderWorld. Providing aerial surveillance, he gathers information on OverWorld activity in the area and feeds it back to his superiors in UnderWorld City, all the while keeping watch for his nemesis Owis, the OverWorld Guardian of Cordac Falls.

Special Abilities:


This UnderWorld Scout can move quickly, even behind enemy lines, giving him the ability to strike almost anywhere. Kerric’s Air Attacks usually take his enemies by surprise, because these Attacks are rarely mastered by UnderWorlders.

Appearance:


Producing much of the UnderWorld Battlegear, Khybon’s body matches his assignment perfectly. He has four arms, but only one of them ends in a hand – the others end in cybernetic tools and weaponry.


Background:


Khybon has two distinct tasks. First, he’s charged by Chaor with maintaining and expanding the UnderWorld caverns, passages, grottoes and pillars. To do this, Khybon travels throughout the UnderWorld frequently. Second, he serves as an UnderWorld engineer, inventing and manufacturing various types of Battlegear. When he’s not out on a mission, Khybon can usually be found in his UnderWorld City workshop or at Castle Pillar.


Special Abilities:


To his foes, Khybon’s Courage and Wisdom are very intimidating. This gives him a tremendous psychological advantage. Those Creatures who are easily (and not-so-easily) intimidated will most often end up losing before their battles even begin!

Appearance :


At first glance, Klasp just seems like a big mouth with arms and legs, but the truth is much more complicated. Lurking inside that gaping maw is a pair of eyes peering out, enabling Klasp to keep an eye on the prey during the entire battle.


Background :


The Creature Klasp roams the darker caverns of the UnderWorld, checking for OverWorld trespassers, spies and scouts. However, he’s not exactly the most motivated UnderWorlder ever. On the whole, he’d really rather be hanging out at the Wooden Pillar.


Favorite Battlegear(s):


Who knows? Klasp is a Creature of shifting preferences. He changes his mind … alot.


Special Abilities:


Klasp’s reckless, feckless nature has been verified by those unfortunate Creatures who’ve felt his wrath. They attest to the fact that Klasp is, to put it kindly, unstable.

Klasp is an UnderWorld Taskmaster and one of the many weird Creatures who inhabit the massive, mostly unexplored caverns of the UnderWorld.

Appearance :


Krekk is a nightmarish apparition. His scrawny wings and powerful upper body seem unmatched. Spikes run along his spine and his slithering tongue. Sharp teeth and beady eyes give him a frightening appearance.

Background :


Krekk is a Scout, spy and occasional UnderWorld Commander. This allows him to avoid actual combat, which works out well for Krekk because he’s a coward. Nonetheless, he can be a formidable opponent when forced to fight. Living near Gothos Tower, Krekk spends most of his time serving his leader. The question is: which one? Some say his allegiance lies with the treacherous, traitorous Lord Van Bloot. Or is he secretly loyal to Chaor? With a character as slippery as Krekk, it’s impossible to tell.

Special Abilities:


Fear is Krekk’s main weapon. His ability to fly also gives him a great advantage on the battlefield. Krekk is most skilled in the use of Fire and prefers Attacks which incorporate this Element.

Appearance :


Kughar is a huge, greenish brute with smooth skin. His crooked teeth and sharp shoulder spikes give him an intimidating appearance. He usually carries a great hammer, which many foes have wished that he had been without.

Background :


Though he spends his time looking for those unfortunate Creatures who wander into Fear Valley, Kughar wishes he could go on missions and adventures in the OverWorld more often. He rarely gets to leave his ominous outpost. Though his job may be boring, it’s a potentially important one. A trespassing OverWorlder might be captured and forced into revealing information that could lead to the recovery of the Cothica - and Kughar is just the Creature to do the forcing!

Special Abilities:


Fire is Kughar’s area of expertise. Those who’ve faced him in battle – or at least the ones who’ve survived - report that the fearsome fury of his masterful Fire Attacks make Kughar an unforgettable, unforgivable enemy.

On bad days, Kughar is angry, furious and enraged. On good days, he’s just angry and furious.

Appearance :


Lord Van Bloot is a bony Creature with great, dark wings on his back. His eyes glow with intense red flame, giving him a sinister appearance. His looks are almost as frightening as his name –Lord Van Bloot.

Background :


Lord Van Bloot is one of the meanest, mightiest and most malicious Creatures in the entire UnderWorld. He’s distrusted and reviled by all Tribes due to his lack of loyalty, honor or any other redeeming personal quality. He continually plots to undermine and overthrow Chaor - ruler of the UnderWorld.

Special Abilities:


Only the bravest (or craziest!) Creatures challenge Lord Van Bloot in battle, as his mere presence will harm those with inferior Courage. He is also a powerful Muge and commands the element of Earth with great skill.

Magmon -UnderWorld

Appearance :


Magmon is a huge Creature made from the magma of the Lava Pond. He has a searing outer shell of hardened rock which cracks when Magmon moves and reveals his molten core.

Background:


Magmon is a Creature who’s (mostly) solid as a rock. He lives in the UnderWorld Lava Pond and does not willingly leave it. Miklon’s powerful body gives him considerable strength and Speed. His huge mouth is filled with hundreds of needle-like teeth, and he has a large, bladed steel plate on his head that serves as both weapon and armor.

Background :


Miklon, Dardemus and Rarran are three prison guards assigned to the Pits, a cavernous region deep beneath the UnderWorld where traitors, trespassers and those who offend Chaor are taken for punishment. Some time ago, Miklon claims he had a bizarre “accident.” So, Khybon utilized his skills as a Battlegear builder to produce a gyropod, ensuring that Miklon remains mobile and menacing as he makes his torturous rounds. Pity those poor prisoners!

Nauthilax is marked by his aquatic nature. His skin is green and slimy, like the algae that colors the rocks of Everrain in the UnderWorld. Large suckers located at the end of his limbs let him grip his opponents in battle, as well as having other useful features.

Background :


Nauthilax is an aquatic Creature. Most of the rivers and lakes in the UnderWorld are stagnant and brackish at best, so Nauthilax spends most of his time near the Cordac Falls Plungepool when he’s in the UnderWorld. He’s an excellent swimmer, so Chaor made him an UnderWorld spy. Nauthilax is usually assigned to scope out the waterways of the OverWorld, particularly the Riverlands and Gloomuck Swamp.

Special Abilities:


Though Nauthilax is mainly a spy, he’s known to be ruthless and reckless when he’s forced to battle. Naturally, he specializes in using Water Attacks, a very rare talent among his fellow UnderWorlders.

Ornathor is an amphibious Creature with golden, bronze hide. His body is massive and muscular with long jagged spikes that run down his back to the tip of his tail. His gills glow with an eerie, greenish-yellow energy. Ornathor clearly favors the dampness of Everrain, though he occasionally ventures out into other places in the UnderWorld.

Background:


Deep in Everrain, there is a hidden cave with entrances in both the fungi undergrowth and beneath the water’s surface. Ornathor has a Mugical bond with the cave and calls it home. Whenever Ornathor wishes to return to his hidden cave, he is instantly able to do so. It seems that the bond between him and the cave is linked to the energy of the Hive - whenever Ornathor transports back to the cave from somewhere else, the Hive seems to become slightly less stable.

There is a strong Mugical bond between Ornathor, his home and the Danian Hive. Whenever Ornathor uses his Mugical ability to instantly return home, the entire Hive destabilizes and becomes inactive.

Pyrithion is among the slipperiest Creatures in any Tribe. He’s an aggressive enemy who continually plans and executes daring assaults on the UnderWorld’s enemies. He uses bribery, torture, blackmail and other nefarious techniques to get the information he needs. Then, he strikes! Unfortunately for Pyrithion, his schemes don’t always work out according to plan.

Rarran is a small, winged Creature with large ears and sharp fangs. His size and ability to fly give him a real advantage when surveying the prisoners of the Pits, as well as in battle and on scouting missions.

Background:


Rarran’s usually found flitting through the putrid prison wards of the Pits. He keeps his super-sensitive ears trained on the conversations of the captives, sharing any interesting information or suspicious whispers with his friends and fellow guards, Miklon and Dardemus. Although loyal to the UnderWorld, Rarran’s not a native UnderWorlder. He was created by the OverWorld Creature maker, Mommark, but his nefarious nature drove him from Castle Mommark. Rarran fled to the UnderWorld and intentionally neglected to tell anyone of his true OverWorld origins.

Skithia lives in Gothos Tower. Due to her bizarre intensity, she is seen as an outcast to many UnderWorlders. Toxis is one of the foulest Creatures in the UnderWorld … and that’s saying a lot! This fact has forced him to live in nearly total seclusion, so he’s made his home in the Pits. Because of who he is (and how he smells), he helps ensure that nobody escapes the UnderWorld prison in the Pits. As Dardemus often jokes, “Toxis is the best security guard the Pits could ever have. If an escaped prisoner gets a whiff of him, he’ll beg to get back in his cell in no time! ”

Zaur is another one of Mommark’s mixed-up creations. Mommark took a huge fossilized skeleton and created Zaur using mysterious Mugical Energy. Unfortunately, this is another one of Mommark’s experiments that didn’t go precisely as planned. Zaur broke loose and fled into the UnderWorld. He mostly wanders the UnderWorld caverns, though he’s often seen roaming Fear Valley. He’s a Creature of great Courage and Power, but he’s ruled by his animal instincts.
